1) Stay at an All-Inclusive Resort
No matter how tired you are of your kids after a long day at work, there’s no better way to relax than escaping with them into a tropical paradise. Whether you stay in one place or keep moving around, let someone else do all of the thinking for you while they plan an itinerary. Plan out when each child will need their afternoon nap and let yourself be whisk away on a trip fill with activities design especially for your family. Indoor activities myrtle beach like archery, bumper cars and indoor swimming pools make even rainy days fun. Plus, having plenty of down time means that everyone can have some much-needed rest from their hectic week back home.
2) Hit the Ocean Waves
Bring your kids to a surf camp or sign them up for a local surf team. The wildlife is abundant and you’ll enjoy some of South Carolina’s most stunning scenery. Whether you’re looking for a romantic excursion or something exciting for your kids, you won’t want to miss out on this adventure! It’s a very affordable way to spend time together with family or friends, even if you don’t have your own boat at home!
4) Visit Ripley’s Aquarium
There are so many things for kids to do at Ripley’s Aquarium, located right on popular Myrtle Beach strip. The exhibits, which feature thousands of aquatic creatures and interactive experiences, are sure to keep children engaged and entertained. At Journey to Atlantis they can touch rays, feed sea turtles and watch sharks swim overhead. At Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition you can explore authentic artifacts from both ships involved in that tragic accident 100 years ago. And at Dangerous Lagoon you can scuba dive alongside fish and sharks!
5) See Flamingos by Day and Fireworks by Night
Sure, an evening on Ocean Boulevard might be fun, but if you’re looking for something indoors and a little more educational, look no further than Brookgreen Gardens. On select days throughout summer and early fall, you can watch conservationists feed flamingos (at sunrise or sunset) by viewing them through telescopes. Don’t miss Fireworks Under the Stars — it’s a family-friendly event that’s held every Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., just after sunset. If your kids love animals (and who doesn’t?) they’ll probably love going up close and personal with some of Brookgreen’s exotic creatures like giraffes, zebras and snow leopards.
